McMenamin Construction over the past 20 years has gained and built a team specialising in the Formwork, Rebar and concrete aspects of Reinforced concrete substructure and superstructure projects to main contractors. Although Reinforced Concrete structures is our core business McMenamin Construction in recent years have become a provider of building construction, civil engineering, drainage and groundwork’s, residential and commercial, demolition and plant hire services to both private and commercial clients on small or large scale projects. FORMWORK
We have provided a wide range of formwork services to the civil engineering sector over the past 20 years working on a variety of large projects throughout the UK & Ireland. We have key experience in Reinforced Concrete Frame buildings, Pile Cap and ground/ ring beam construction, Raft foundations, Basements, Liquid retaining structures and retaining walls. Our teams have the skill and ability to carry out all formwork operations including where traditional timber formwork built onsite where complex shapes and high quality finishes may be required, Prefabricated Formwork Panels or engineered systems ( RMD, Peri, Doka, etc.) permanent and temporary plastic formwork and finally shoring to form soffits of insitu slabs.
STEEL FIXING
McMenamin Construction undertake all aspects of steel fixing on projects small and large. Our steel fixers carry out All Rebar and Mesh operations laid, lapped, spliced and tied to the required spacing, dimensions and concrete cover above or below the ground specified by the engineers design. Our fixers can complete operations onsite or use prefabricated applications. Prices and rates are normally based on tonnage and complexity of the specified design at hand or for smaller projects a competitive hourly rate can be negotiated. We have the tools and experience to get the job done with the highest standards and at the best price.
CONCRETE
We hold an experienced concrete team who have carried out a variety of concreting tasks throughout our years of business. We offer our clients the complete range of concreting services including Blinding concrete layers (mud-mats), concreting formwork, concrete slabs and yards to power floated, brushed, tamped finishes and stamped concrete. We ensure that all our concreting tasks are completed to our clients expectations at a competitive industry price.
DRAINAGE & GROUNDWORK
We have experience in a wide range of groundwork and drainage including small projects to large building and civil engineering projects. We cover all aspects including Site preparation, bulk excavation, ground improvement, storm water and foul drainage and main line drainage, soft and hard landscaping works and fencing. Projects can be carried out on a fixed price lump sum basis or on a competitive hourly rate.

PLANT HIRE
We operate an up to date, modern equipped fleet of vehicles and equipment including excavators ranging from 3.3t -13.5t, lorries, tractors, dump trailers, low loaders and various items of small plant and machinery such as compressors, generators, trailers, concrete skips and a wide range of power tools for all trades. What We Offer
FABPLUS STRABANE FACTORY EXTENSIONS
We carried out the construction of two large commercial units for a local company in Strabane who manufacture and fit fire sprinkler systems to large projects across the UK and many other country’s worldwide. The project consisted of the full groundwork and drainage package, along with all formwork, Rebar and Concrete operations. The steel frame buildings consisted of a reinforced concrete exterior walls with a high quality finish, as well as a reinforced concrete floor with a power floated finish. The facility had a large yard completed with brush finish.
GRAHAM GARDENS APARTMENTS - LISBURN
Main Contractor : Lowry Construction Ltd Package: Formwork, Rebar & Concrete Duration: 4-5 Months This was one of many projects completed for Lowry Construction over the years, this particular project was the completion of Pile caps and ground beams, 40 tonne or Rebar, columns and a reinforced concrete first floor transfer slab completed using RMD Airodek decking system.
DUNLUCE AVENUE APARTMENTS - PORTRUSH
Main Contractor: LJ Millar & Sons Ltd Package: Formwork, Rebar & Concrete We recently completed the walls, columns and beams along with a first floor reinforced concrete slab along with 100 tonne of Rebar. The project had many complex angles as well as a combination of column sizes along with some 600mm radius columns.
HILTON FOODS CAR PARK & UNIT E - HUNTINGDON
Main Contractor: J A Gamble & Co. Ltd Duration: 7 Months Package: Formwork, Rebar & Concrete Groundwork & Drainage
This project was one of the many projects for our repeat client JA Gamble, this specific project included site striping and preparation, making of piling platform, digging ground beams and breaking piles, 20 tonne of rebar tied and placed, permanent formwork erected, bolts set and concrete to ground beams poured. Reinforced concrete exterior wall of the building formed and poured, then the drainage for the building was completed. We also had the role of completing a large ground water storage tank.
STRAND HOTEL SUBSTATION - DERRY
Main Contractor: KWG Group Ltd Package: Formwork, Rebar & Concrete
This project was the formwork, rebar and concrete to a NIE Substation to power the new Hotel situated in the Strand Road, Derry. It involved a reinforced concrete base with openings and trenches for cables, four columns and an insitu reinforced concrete roof top.
